Similarly, an eyedropper of radius 3 extracts an average color from an area of 5×5 (it's the center pixel plus two pixels to all sides). For example, an eyedropper of radius 2 extracts the average color from an area of 3×3 (it's the center pixel, plus another pixel in all directions).
